Greater Lawrence Family Health Center is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of three GLFHC physicians who were recently recognized in the Summer 2026 Issue of Family Physicians. Their dedication to patient care, medical education, advocacy, and mentorship reflects the values at the heart of Greater Lawrence Family Health Center and the lasting impact our physicians have on the communities they serve.
Cassandra Nytes, MD, has been recognized as a member of the Massachusetts Academy of Family Physicians (MAFP) Board of Directors. Originally from Wisconsin, Cassandra earned her MD-MPH from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health after years of serving patients at federally qualified health centers. Her passion for health equity, advocacy, and caring for underserved communities led her to Lawrence Family Medicine Residency, where she continues to advance patient-centered care. As an MAFP Board member, she looks forward to contributing to policies that improve the health and well-being of patients across Massachusetts. GLFHC is grateful for the opportunity to be part of her journey.
Eloise Edgings-Pryce, MD, FAAFP was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Essex North District of the Massachusetts Medical Society. Eloise was recognized for a lifetime of extraordinary service as a physician, educator, and mentor. For decades, she has trained family medicine residents in surgical obstetrics, helping prepare physicians who now provide safe, high-quality maternity care across Massachusetts and around the world. In addition to educating future physicians, she has spent more than 30 years caring for patients at Greater Lawrence Family Health Center and continues to serve vulnerable populations through the Mobile Health Clinic and medical mission-work abroad. We are incredibly proud to celebrate this well-deserved honor and her lasting impact on patients, students, and communities.
Congratulations to Elise LaFlamme, MD, FAAFP, on being recognized for her outstanding dedication to medical education and mentorship. Elise is serving as a mentor in the first inaugural MassAFP Summer Externship Program, guiding Tufts University School of Medicine student, Katherine Erler, through a four-week externship. Her commitment to precepting and investing in the next generation of family physicians reflects the mission of Lawrence Family Medicine Residency and Greater Lawrence Family Health Center. We are proud to celebrate Elise's leadership and the lasting impact she continues to make on future physicians.
Please join us in congratulating Cassandra, Eloise, and Elise on these well-deserved recognitions. Their leadership, compassion, and commitment to advancing family medicine continue to inspire colleagues, students, and patients. We are honored to have them as part of the GLFHC family and grateful for the difference they make every day.
