The new Chief Financial Officer at Greater Lawrence Family Health Center has returned to the Merrimack Valley from the West Coast and has more than 20 years of executive leadership across healthcare, nonprofit, and technology organizations.
“I’m thrilled to join Greater Lawrence Family Health Center (GLFHC) as Chief Financial Officer,” said Andrea Blackbird, who began her tenure on April 30. “GLFHC’s commitment to serving the Merrimack Valley and advancing access to high-quality, comprehensive healthcare strongly aligns with my values. I’m honored to join such a mission-driven organization and look forward to supporting its important work in the community.”
Blackbird most recently served as Chief Financial Officer at Venice Family Clinic in California, a UCLA Health-affiliated community health center with a $100 million operating budget. She led financial strategy, systems transformation, and operational improvements to strengthen long-term sustainability and mission alignment.
“We are thrilled to welcome our new Chief Financial Officer to GLFHC,” said Zandra Kelley, MD, President & CEO of the health center. “With more than a decade of experience leading finance for a similarly sized community health center, she has already made a strong impact — seamlessly integrating into our team and bringing fresh perspective. Her deep expertise, innovative thinking, and collaborative approach will be instrumental in strengthening our organization and positioning us for long-term success.”
Throughout her career, Blackbird has demonstrated a strong ability to drive financial growth, optimize revenue, enhance operational efficiency, and lead high-performing teams. Her experience includes securing multimillion-dollar financing, implementing enterprise financial systems, and navigating complex regulatory environments. She has an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
