Nicholas Weida, MD has accepted the position of Program Director of the Lawrence Family Medicine Residency Program. As the Interim Program Director, Dr. Weida has provided much needed stability and leadership to GLFHC’s residency program. He has received continual positive feedback regarding his leadership style, including an excellent balance between focused listening and timely decision-making.
Dr. Weida came to GLFHC in 2015 and has been serving in the residency ever since. His experience spans Core Faculty and Team Leader to Chief of Family Medicine at Lawrence General Hospital to 34 Haverhill Street Medical Director and most recently Vice President of Clinical Affairs and Interim Program Director. His dedication to serving the Lawrence community shows in his care for patients in the outpatient and inpatient settings, taking care of all ages and stages of life including helping to develop programs for patients with substance use disorder. Prior to joining GLFHC, Dr. Weida participated on many boards and committees, including the Residency Review Committee for the ACGME.

Dr. Weida will continue in his role as VP of Clinical Affairs while also passing multiple responsibilities on to others who are excited about elevating their roles. Tuhin Roy, MD has accepted the position of Medical Site Director at Haverhill Street.
