Making a Difference Gala

February 21, 2017

Greater Lawrence Family Health Center’s 12th Annual Making a Difference Gala has raised over $1 million dollars over the past eleven years, to provide support for GLFHC’s programs and services to those most in need. The private support generated from the local community has increased important access to quality healthcare to the underserved in Greater Lawrence as well as the surrounding Merrimack Valley communities.

Each year the Making a Difference Gala honors an individual(s) with the Making a Difference Award, in recognition of those who have truly made a difference in the delivery of healthcare services to those most in need. Proceeds from this annual event have gone to support very specific areas of the Health Center, such as the Lawrence Family Medicine Residency, Maternal Child Health, the Healthcare for the Homeless Program, and capital projects which have increased clinical site capacity. Last year, the Health Center joined the national call to action and adopted the Access is the Answer theme by creating the Access to Care Fund as its overarching funding priority, as this most closely aligns with GLFHC’s mission
