United Healthcare has awarded Greater Lawrence Family Health Center $10,000 to help patients with food insecurity.
The UHC Expo Grant will be used to buy Market Basket gift cards for people in need. The health center screens people during our monthly Mobile Food Market for food insecurity. In addition to distributing the gift cards, GLFHC staff help connect patients with the appropriate community-based organizations for long-term solutions.
We are grateful to United Healthcare for the grant.
