Dr. Katrin Schneck will be recognized by the Rotary Club of Andover with the Citizens Who Care Award. Through the Reach Out and Read program she facilitates at GLFHC’s North Site, she encourages children in the Greater Lawrence community to learn the importance of reading.

The Reach Out and Read program allows providers like Dr. Schneck to give children and their siblings books each time they come in for a doctor’s visit.

She does a tremendous amount of volunteering, including hours with GLFHC’s Mobile Market, to provide community residents with fresh fruits and vegetables provided by the Greater Boston Food Bank. She’s also able to serve as a host for exchange students all over the world as she speaks three languages: English, Spanish and German!
