In addition to the COVID-19 vaccine, GLFHC has added another weapon to its arsenal in the fight against the coronavirus. It is called the Virus Killer 401 (VK401), and it is described as not just an air purifier, but an air cleaner.

Produced by the company Radic8, this system has been used in several countries overseas in hospitals and other buildings since 2004. The VK401 kills all airborne pollutants in a room by funneling them through multiple chambers, filters and UV processes.

According to Radic8, data shows the system has been proven and tested to:

• Control airflow to optimize sterilization in the breathing space
• Remove 99.99% of all respiratory viruses & bacteria
• Effectively remove noxious gases and larger particles such as dust, dander and other allergens

GLFHC has placed VK401 cleaners in several exam rooms at our Haverhill Street and Park Street locations for the safety of our patients and clinicians.
