GLFHC accepts the following insurance plans: AllWays Health Partners, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Boston Medical, Celticare, Fallon Harvard, Evercare, Health Safety Net, MassHealth, Medicare, Tufts (Commercial), United Health, Senior Whole Health, Children’s Medical Security; however, GLFHC will work with patients who don’t have insurance to help them enroll in insurance programs. Insurance Enrollment Assistance
GLFHC offers health insurance enrollment assistance at its clinical locations. Staff are trained to assist with the Massachusetts Health Connector health insurance applications. Please ask for assistance at any of GLFHC’s clinical locations.
When referrals to outside specialists are needed, GLFHC has relationships with providers based in the Merrimack Valley and in the Boston area, and will work with external providers to ensure continuity of care.
Community Support Services
The Health Center’s primary medical services are complemented by enabling services to address other patient needs and the social determinants of health. Our CSS team provides culturally and linguistically competent public health interventions, supportive services, information and referral to patients, the City of Lawrence, and the Merrimack Valley. The Community Support Services (CSS) Department offers resources within each clinic location for patients. Community health workers provide help for patients with referrals to local community resources including domestic violence, food security, financial coaching, as well as assistance with utility resources, transportation and completing forms including Mass Health applications/review forms and application for benefits.
