Summer Safety Tips

1. Sunblock
With warm weather steadily increasing, nothing beats a little fun in the sun! With this, UV rays from the sun can be damaging and potentially lead to sunburns and skin cancer. To prevent these effects, make sure to apply a sun block of SPF 15 or higher 30 minutes before going outside. Reapply every 80 minutes to stay protected against the sun!
2. Stay Hydrated
Hot weather can easily lead to dehydration. Make sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day to stay hydrated and happy!
3. Bug Spray
Nothing beats a fun summer night, but make sure to stay away from mosquitoes. Wearing long pants and shirts in addition to applying bug spray can help keep these pests away!
4. Protect Your Eyes
The sun can hurt your eyes and make you squint. To prevent eye damage and discomfort, trying wearing a hat or sunglasses to protect you!
5. Wear a Helmet
Biking in the summer is fun, but accidents can happen. Wearing a helmet helps protect the head against damage in case of a fall.
