...While Former Member Returns to the Board

When Jim Winning left the Board of Directors in October of 2008, he had just finished his 4th term as well as his 9th year as Treasurer. A partner with Deloitte and Touche, Jim comes back to GLFHC’s Board at a critical time. We welcome his return as the Health Center benefits from Jim’s financial expertise and insights.

According to Jim, “It is great to be back on the Board. I am honored to be offered the opportunity to rejoin the Board and I look forward to working with the other members and management. I have strong ties to the Greater Lawrence community having grown up here and raised my family here, and I truly enjoy giving something back to the community. I also appreciate the critical and unique role the Health Center plays in providing high quality primary care to the community.

The current economic environment is definitely posing some significant challenges and I have no doubt that the Health Center will continue to successfully deal with the challenges in a caring and thoughtful manner. I also believe that the rapidly changing health care landscape will create opportunities for the Health Center and that we are well positioned to capitalize on them. Hopefully, my
background in health care finance will be helpful to the organization as it deals with these challenges and opportunities.”
